Connect to FTP on OneNet Servers
Applies to: Hosting services that expose FTP, SFTP, or file-access credentials.
Use this guide when you need to connect to your website files with an FTP client such as FileZilla.
Before you start
- Confirm that the hosting service actually includes file-transfer access.
- Keep the current hostname, username, password, and port from the active service details ready.
Steps on OneNet Servers
- Install an FTP client such as FileZilla if you do not already have one.
- Open the active hosting service in your OneNet client area and copy the current file-access hostname, username, password, and port shown for that service.
- Enter those details into your FTP or SFTP client and connect.
- If the service uses secure file transfer, choose the secure protocol recommended in the service details instead of falling back to plain FTP.
What you should see next
- You should be able to browse the account files and upload or download content for the correct hosting service.
Common issues
- Using an old hostname or a password from a previous migration is one of the most common reasons FTP fails.
- A panel login password and a file-transfer password are not always the same on every hosting stack.
When to contact support: Contact support if the current file-access details from the active service still fail in a fresh FTP client session.
