Whitelist an email address in legacy cPanel
Applies to: Legacy cPanel mail environments still in use on OneNet Servers.
Use this guide when a trusted sender keeps landing in junk or being filtered by legacy cPanel mail rules.
Before you start
- Confirm that the mailbox still runs on a legacy cPanel service and not on CrossBox or Plesk mail.
- Keep the exact sender address or domain ready.
Steps on OneNet Servers
- Log in to the legacy cPanel mailbox controls or webmail filtering area attached to the account.
- Open the spam, filter, or whitelist settings for the mailbox.
- Add the exact sender address or domain you trust and save the rule.
- Send a fresh test message from that sender after the change.
What you should see next
- New mail from the trusted sender should stop being filtered into junk by the local mailbox rule set.
Common issues
- Whitelisting a sender in cPanel does not fix a completely external spam filter or a DNS reputation problem upstream.
When to contact support: Contact support if the mailbox is no longer on cPanel or if the trusted sender is still filtered after the local whitelist rule has been saved.
