Create and manage backups in PanelAlpha

Applies to: WordPress Hosting services on PanelAlpha.

Create a backup before plugin changes, design changes, migrations, bulk imports, or any work that could break the live site. Do not assume a backup exists until you can see it in the backup list.

Before you start

• Know which site you are backing up.
• Decide whether you need a manual backup now or you are only reviewing the automatic schedule.

Steps on OneNet Servers

1. Open the site in PanelAlpha and go to the backups area.
2. Choose the manual backup action and confirm the job.
3. Wait for the new restore point to appear in the list before leaving the page.
4. If you need to check the automatic schedule too, review that after the manual backup has finished.

What you should see next

• A successful backup should appear as a restore point for the same site.

Common issues

• A backup button click is not enough. The backup has to finish and appear in the list before it can protect you.
