Create email accounts in Plesk and use them in CrossBox

Applies to: Business Email services on Odinson.

Mailbox creation happens in Plesk. Daily reading and sending then happen in CrossBox or in any mail app you connect to the mailbox.

Before you start

  • Confirm that the domain is active on the Business Email service.
  • Know the mailbox name, password policy, and any quota you want to set.

Steps on OneNet Servers

  1. Log in to Plesk and open the Mail section for the correct domain.
  2. Choose Create Email Address.
  3. Enter the mailbox name, set the password, and define the quota if you do not want the default limit.
  4. Save the mailbox and test it first in CrossBox webmail.
  5. Once that works, move on to Outlook or mobile setup if you want the mailbox in an app.

What you should see next

  • The mailbox should appear in the Plesk mail list.
  • The same full email address and password should work in CrossBox webmail.

Common issues

  • If webmail fails immediately after creation, check the password again before you assume the mailbox was not created.

Next steps on OneNet Servers

When to contact support: Contact support if Plesk shows a success message but the mailbox does not appear in the mail list or cannot log in through CrossBox afterwards.
