Change your hosting subscription password in Plesk
Applies to: Plesk hosting subscriptions where the system user password is exposed for change inside the hosting settings.
Use this guide when you need to rotate the main hosting subscription password used for file access or related service login on the subscription.
Before you start
- Know whether you are changing the main system user password or a separate mailbox, database, or panel password.
Steps on OneNet Servers
- Log in to Plesk and open Websites and Domains.
- Open the hosting or web-hosting access settings for the correct subscription.
- Enter the new password and save the change.
- Retest any FTP, SFTP, SSH, or application workflow that uses that same subscription-level credential.
What you should see next
- The updated service password should work for the subscription components that rely on that same system user.
Common issues
- Changing the subscription password does not automatically change mailbox passwords or database-user passwords.
When to contact support: Contact support if the new password saves in Plesk but the related service access still fails with the fresh credential.
