Manage DNS records from your OneNet Servers service
Applies to: Hosting or mail services on OneNet Servers where the live DNS is managed on OneNet Servers nameservers and the service exposes a DNS Settings action.
Use this route when you need to edit a live DNS record without moving the whole domain away from OneNet Servers. The DNS Settings action is available from the service itself, not just from the standalone domain screens.
Before you start
- Confirm that the domain still uses OneNet Servers nameservers.
- Open the correct service first, especially if the same account has both web and email products for similar domains.
Steps on OneNet Servers
- Log in to OneNet Servers Client Area and open the service you want to manage.
- In the service details page, use DNS Settings under Manage Account.
- Wait for the DNS Settings screen to load, then add or edit the record you need.
- Review the record carefully before you leave the page, especially MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC values.
What you should see next
- You should land on a page headed DNS Settings for that service.
- The record changes should save into the service-linked zone when the domain is still authoritative on OneNet Servers.
Common issues
- If the domain uses external nameservers, local DNS changes inside the service will not change the public internet result.
- If the DNS Settings page stays on a loading spinner, refresh it once. If it still does not load, stop there and contact support.
- Editing web and mail records on the wrong service can break either the website or email routing.
