Set up an auto-reply mailbox in Plesk
Applies to: Mailboxes managed in Plesk on OneNet Servers.
Use an auto-reply when you want incoming senders to receive an automatic response while you are away or handling messages on a schedule.
Before you start
- Confirm the mailbox already exists.
- Prepare the subject line and message text before you start.
Steps on OneNet Servers
- Log in to Plesk and open Mail.
- Choose the target email address and open its auto-reply or autoresponder settings.
- Enable the auto-reply option and enter the subject and message body.
- Use plain, direct wording so the message is readable in more mail clients.
- Save the mailbox settings and send yourself a test message from an external address.
What you should see next
- The mailbox should send the auto-reply to qualifying incoming messages after the next mail check.
Common issues
- If forwarding and auto-reply are both enabled, test the behavior so you do not create a confusing mail loop or duplicated workflow.
When to contact support: Contact support if the mailbox saves correctly in Plesk but never sends the auto-reply to external senders.
